AKA Beard Jitsu is a lifelong martial artist, starting in Taekwondo at a young age. He then began studying boxing and wrestling right out of high school and fell in love with mixed martial arts. Having worked security in Houston for many years and competing in jiu jitsu tournaments in the past gives him good insight into the self-defense and competitive sport nature of martial arts. He is currently a 2nd-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Hapkido. He has been teaching BJJ, MMA, and self-defense for over 13 years in the Houston area.
